Nice and cosy breakfast before going up the peak.
Last check on the stuff you carry.
1) Energy food
2) one small bottle for water - cos every station there is water for refill.
3) rain coat
4) they provide lunch box which contain an apple, sandwiches and hard boiled egg.
Once you are on the journey, got a nice waterfall..... and by the way, when i'm coming down, i just hope that every turn i make i will see this waterfall.
From a normal jungle trail and the trees so tall. to the trail with stone
On the way up
weather get colder and colder
Mist getting thicker. shirts all wet, don't know is the sweat or the mist. Half way going up, raining. make the journey more difficult. can't even stop for photograph cos mine is not a water proof camera. my camera bag is in a plastic bag.
The soil no longer exist on the trail. left with stone
One turn and i saw the below path.... this one called trail?? All stone and more bigger stone. and the trees getting smaller and smaller
Bonsai type of trees got more and more
Mist getting thicker. a tree with algae ....is that an algae?
Small plants......
Almost reaching Laban Rata and the rain stop.... clear sky...we are above the cloud
Sun coming out......
When i saw this... omg..... I arrived finally , after 5 hours trekking. climbing endless stairs for 5 hours.
Highest point that i ever climb...
Our accommodation for the night will be here. with heater and hot water( but that day water level low so the water heater are not working, we bath in ice water)
Food, glorious food, white rice never tasted so good
Inside the restaurant. I need food.
The view from laban rata.
Zoom photos...can u see the rope....
Getting dark...
Next morning, last few photos
Bye Bye Laban Rata
Panoramic view....
I didnt make it to the top. I stop at Laban rata. with the air so thin. I already got difficulty to breath and can feel chest pain once a while. I know i cannot risk my life to go up further. scared...
